Its all in the Bubbles
Ozone is one of nature’s most effective purifiers. Ozone systems, whether for hot tubs or public drinking water systems, work the same way by continuously injecting millions of tiny, highly concentrated ozone bubbles into the water, neutralizing contaminants on contact. Ozone gas oxidizes – literally “burns out”– most water contaminants on contact, including bacteria and viruses.
Without an ozone unit for your spa, the need for chemicals to both balance and sanitize your water increases dramatically. …but I still have bubbles!
An old ozone unit will still discharge bubbles, but those bubbles no longer have any ozone and therefore, no water cleansing capabilities. You should be able to smell the difference.
